New scan aims to spot breast cancer faster, cut unnecessary biopsies

NCT ID NCT05056844

Summary

This study is testing if a special type of mammogram called CESM is better than standard scans at finding the cause of unusual nipple discharge. CESM uses a safe dye injected into the vein to make breast tissue clearer on the images. The goal is to see if this method can more accurately detect breast cancer when it's present and help patients avoid unnecessary follow-up biopsies.
