Spinning blood to see clearly: fixing a common lab problem
NCT ID NCT07200674
Summary
This study aims to improve the accuracy of a critical blood test used to monitor patients on blood thinners. When a blood sample is cloudy from high fat levels, the test can give unreliable results. Researchers are testing if spinning these cloudy samples at very high speed can separate the fat, allowing for a clear and accurate measurement.
