Heart failure study: can patients feel better by dropping a common pill?

NCT ID NCT05174351

Summary

This study is testing whether temporarily stopping beta-blocker medication for 4 weeks improves exercise capacity and quality of life in patients with a specific type of heart failure. Researchers will enroll 30 patients who are currently stable on beta-blockers to measure changes in walking distance, heart function, and symptom questionnaires. The goal is to understand if some heart failure patients might benefit from adjusting or discontinuing this common medication.
