Danish heart study aims to tune Life-Saving devices

NCT ID NCT07354347

Summary

This large study in Denmark aims to find the best way to program new heart defibrillators (ICDs). It will compare two different settings for the device's painless pacing feature, which tries to stop dangerous fast heart rhythms before a shock is needed. Nearly 4,000 patients receiving a new ICD will have their device set to one of the two strategies and be followed for up to 10 years.
