First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study looked at how two anxiety medications, lorazepam and diazepam, affect memory and brain activity in healthy young adults. Twenty-two volunteers took a single dose of one of the drugs and then performed memory tasks while their brains were scanned with fMRI. The goal was to understand how these drugs change the way the brain processes both conscious and unconscious memories.
