First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests whether drinking beetroot juice for four months helps people with peripheral artery disease (PAD) walk farther. PAD narrows leg arteries, causing pain and difficulty walking. The trial will compare beetroot juice to a placebo in 210 adults aged 50 and older, measuring walking distance and leg muscle health.
