Beef vs. burgers: which diet tames inflammation?

NCT ID NCT07269847

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study compares two healthy diets—one centered on beef and one following a typical US pattern—to see which better lowers inflammation and improves other health markers in people with metabolic syndrome or pre-diabetes. About 56 adults aged 18-74 with elevated inflammation and either pre-diabetes or metabolic syndrome will follow one of the diets for 5 weeks. The goal is to find out if a beef-rich diet can help manage these conditions.
