Mind-Controlled glove could help stroke survivors move their hands again
NCT ID NCT06076928
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This study tests a wearable robotic glove that reads brain signals to help people who have had a stroke move their hand and arm. Sixty participants will be split into three groups: one using the brain-controlled glove, one using the glove without brain control, and one receiving standard therapy. The goal is to see if the brain-controlled glove improves hand function better than current treatments.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Brain-computer interface integrated wearable hand robotic glove
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a new way to improve hand and arm function after a stroke, helping people regain independence.
What could go wrong
This is an early pilot study with only 60 people, so results may not apply to everyone. The device is experimental and may not work better than existing therapy.
