First seen Nov 15, 2025 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study is testing a new mouth swab test that looks for HPV DNA and certain gene changes to find throat cancer early. Researchers will compare results from 200 people with throat cancer and 200 healthy volunteers matched by age, sex, and background. If the test works well, it could lead to a simple, non-invasive way to catch this cancer sooner.
