Could banana leaves ease burn pain? U.S. study tests ancient remedy
NCT ID NCT07453732
Summary
This small pilot study will test if banana leaves can be used as a dressing for second-degree burns to help reduce pain and improve healing. It will involve 30 adult patients with recent, small burns and compare their results to past patients. The main goal is to see if using banana leaves is practical and safe in a U.S. hospital setting, where they are not commonly used.
