Heart procedure showdown: balloon or stent?

NCT ID NCT07442500

Summary

This large study aims to compare two common procedures for treating blocked heart arteries. It will test whether using a drug-coated balloon is as safe and effective as implanting a drug-coated metal stent, especially for patients at high risk of bleeding who struggle with long-term blood-thinning medication. The goal is to find the best treatment to prevent future heart attacks, strokes, or the need for repeat procedures.
