New balloon device tested to keep heart arteries open
NCT ID NCT04058990
Summary
This study compares two different drug-coated balloon catheters used to open small, narrowed heart arteries in Japanese patients with coronary artery disease. The research aims to see if one device is safer or more effective at keeping the artery open and preventing future heart problems. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two balloon treatments during their artery-opening procedure.
