Walking backwards to move forward: new stroke rehab study for veterans

NCT ID NCT04928482

Summary

This study is testing a backward walking training program to help people recover walking speed and balance after a stroke. Researchers will compare two different amounts of training (18 vs. 27 sessions) and use brain scans to see how the brain changes with training. The goal is to find the best dose of this therapy and understand who benefits most.
