Zap your back pain? electrical stimulation tested against traditional exercise

NCT ID NCT06642350

Summary

This study tested whether a time-saving, joint-friendly electrical muscle stimulation workout is as effective as traditional resistance training for chronic low back pain. Researchers compared whole-body electromyostimulation (WB-EMS) to medical therapeutic training (MTT) in 26 adults aged 40-70. The goal was to see which method better reduced pain and improved strength over 10 weeks.
