Scientists hunt for blood clues to back pain relief
NCT ID NCT06545812
Summary
This study aims to understand how two common treatments for lower back pain from a slipped disc affect inflammation in the body. Researchers will measure specific inflammation markers in the blood of 128 adults before and after they receive either physical therapy or a steroid injection. The goal is to see if changes in these markers are linked to how much a patient's pain improves and their quality of life.
