Sham procedure vs. Nerve-Zapping: the battle for back pain relief

NCT ID NCT07222462

Summary

This study aims to find out if a common procedure for chronic low back pain, called lumbar radiofrequency ablation, actually works better than a fake procedure. Researchers will compare two different techniques for the nerve-zapping treatment against a simulated version in 300 people with long-term back pain. The goal is to see which approach best improves people's ability to do daily activities and reduces their pain.
