What you fed your baby may shape their brain at age 8
NCT ID NCT00735423
Summary
This study aims to understand if the type of nutrition a baby receives in their first year—breast milk, milk-based formula, or soy-based formula—affects how their brain develops years later. Researchers are observing 100 healthy 8-year-old children, using brain scans and language tests to measure differences in brain function and thinking skills. The goal is to gather knowledge about early nutrition's long-term impact, not to test a treatment.
