New hybrid surgery aims to fix Life-Threatening aortic bulges and tears

Summary
This study is testing a new, simplified hybrid surgery technique called B-SAFER to repair complex problems in the body's main artery (the aorta), such as dangerous bulges (aneurysms) or tears (dissections). It will involve about 590 adults who need repair of multiple sections of their aorta. The main goals are to see if the new procedure is safe and works well to seal the problem and keep blood flowing correctly.
