Summary

This study tests whether giving a single 2-gram dose of azithromycin to pregnant women before starting labor induction can lower the chance of infection for both mother and baby. Researchers will enroll 400 women in their third trimester who are having labor induced for medical or elective reasons. Participants will receive either the antibiotic or a placebo, and the team will track infections like chorioamnionitis and wound infections.
