Summary
This study tests whether adding the antibiotic azithromycin to standard treatment helps people with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) recover faster from sudden, severe flare-ups. Researchers will compare hospital stay length and other outcomes between those who get azithromycin plus usual care and those who get usual care alone. About 1000 participants are being enrolled at Assiut University.
