New Gut-Healing drug enters Mid-Stage Crohn's trial

NCT ID NCT06681324

Summary

This study is testing an experimental drug called AZD7798 to see if it is safe and can help heal the inflamed gut lining in people with active Crohn's disease. It will involve about 30 participants who have an ileostomy, allowing doctors to directly see the drug's effects. For the first 12 weeks, participants will receive either the drug or a placebo, followed by a longer period where everyone gets the active drug.
