Scientists test new Drug's safety with common pills

NCT ID NCT06948747

Summary

This early-stage study tested how a new drug, AZD5004, interacts with several common medications, including cholesterol drugs (like atorvastatin) and a diabetes drug (repaglinide). It also checked how an antibiotic (erythromycin) affects AZD5004. The goal was to see if taking AZD5004 changes how the body processes these other drugs, which is important for future safety. The study involved 49 healthy adult volunteers.
