New drug combo tested for Tough-to-Treat breast cancer
NCT ID NCT07137871
Summary
This early-stage trial is testing whether adding an experimental drug called avasopasem to standard breast cancer therapy is safe and might help when the initial treatment stops working. The study will enroll about 35 women with metastatic, hormone receptor-positive breast cancer that has progressed despite taking standard hormonal therapy and a specific type of inhibitor drug. Researchers will monitor patients closely for side effects and check if their tumors shrink or stop growing.
