New hope for severe kidney disease patients in groundbreaking trial

Summary
This study is testing whether adding a newer drug called avacopan to standard treatment helps people with a severe autoimmune disease that attacks the kidneys (ANCA-associated vasculitis). It will enroll 130 adults with very poor kidney function to see if the combination treatment improves their kidney health and survival better than standard treatment alone. The goal is to find a more effective way to control this serious disease and protect the kidneys from long-term damage.
