Can early rituximab stop vasculitis relapses? new study aims to find out

NCT ID NCT07451847

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether giving the drug rituximab early, when signs of the disease reappear in the blood, can prevent relapses in people with certain types of vasculitis (GPA and MPA). About 70 adults who have been on maintenance rituximab for at least 18 months will be randomly assigned to either receive early rituximab or standard monitoring. The goal is to see which approach better prevents disease flare-ups over two years.
