Summary

This study tested a new anthrax vaccine called AV7909 in nearly 3,700 healthy adults to see if it works as well as the current licensed vaccine (BioThrax) for preventing anthrax after exposure. Participants received either AV7909 or BioThrax, and researchers measured their immune response and safety over about a year. The goal was to confirm that different batches of AV7909 produce consistent protection.
