Summary

This study tested a new automated system designed to give patients intravenous (IV) fluids during major abdominal surgery. The goal was to see if this machine could maintain a patient's blood volume as effectively as a human anesthesiologist. It was a small, early-stage trial to check if using the device was safe and feasible.
