Robot vs. doctor: Who's better at giving IV fluids during surgery?

NCT ID NCT01950845

Summary

This study tested whether an automated computer system could manage a patient's IV fluids during major abdominal surgery as well as or better than an anesthesiologist. It involved 46 high-risk patients undergoing procedures like liver or pancreas surgery. The goal was to see if the automated system could improve blood flow during the operation and lead to better recovery outcomes.
