First Real-World test of 'Smart' insulin patch pump begins

Summary
This study is testing how well and how safely an automated insulin delivery system works for adults with type 1 diabetes in everyday life. The system is a patch pump that uses an algorithm to automatically adjust insulin doses. Researchers will follow 200 participants for 24 weeks to see if the device improves blood sugar control and reduces time spent with dangerously high or low sugar levels.
