Can a text from your doctor stop diabetes?
NCT ID NCT04773834
Summary
This study tested if automated text messages from a doctor could help people with prediabetes stick to a digital health program. Over 500 participants used an app for diet and exercise coaching. Half also received personalized, automated messages from their doctor's office to encourage them. The goal was to see if these messages improved engagement and helped lower blood sugar and weight to prevent full diabetes.
