First seen Jan 29, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tested a new automatic feature in a home ventilator that adjusts pressure during exhalation to keep the upper airway open. It included 23 adults with conditions like sleep apnea, COPD, or obesity-related breathing problems who already used a ventilator. The goal was to see if the automatic setting worked as well as manual adjustments in reducing breathing pauses and drops in oxygen levels during sleep.
