Stanford tests 'Sound Therapy' to help people handle pain without drugs

NCT ID NCT07227142

Summary

This study is testing whether a special audio technology can help people tolerate pain better. Researchers want to see if listening to specific sounds through a device can raise a person's pain threshold during a cold water test. They are looking for 100 healthy adults to try the audio device and compare it to doing nothing.
