Could peer buddies and shots keep teens with HIV healthy?

NCT ID NCT06721078

First seen Apr 04, 2026

Summary

This study in South Africa tests whether peer support and long-acting injectable HIV medication help teens (ages 12-19) stay virally suppressed and keep up with care. 720 teens living with HIV will take part. The goal is to see if these approaches improve health and retention over 18-24 months.
