New heart procedure tested to control dangerous irregular heartbeat
NCT ID NCT06801392
Summary
This study is testing a new type of catheter (a thin, flexible tube) used in a procedure to treat persistent atrial fibrillation, a type of irregular heartbeat. The procedure uses pulsed electrical energy to create small scars in specific areas of the heart to block the faulty electrical signals. Researchers will enroll 50 patients to see how well this new catheter works to create these scars and to carefully check for any safety issues, like effects on the kidneys.
