Hope for teen migraine sufferers: new pill trial aims to reduce debilitating headaches

Summary

This study is testing whether a daily pill called atogepant can help prevent chronic migraines in teenagers aged 12 to 17. About 420 teens worldwide will take either the real medicine or a placebo (sugar pill) for 12 weeks, and neither they nor their doctors will know which one they get. Researchers will track how many migraine days participants have, their quality of life, and any side effects to see if the treatment is safe and effective for this younger age group.
