NCT ID NCT06230406

First seen Apr 08, 2026 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looks at how a gene called TMEM230 may be involved in atherosclerosis, the buildup of fatty plaques in arteries that can lead to heart attacks and strokes. Researchers will analyze blood and tissue samples from 12 adults having vascular surgery to measure gene activity. They will also create 3D models from patient tissue to better understand the gene's effects. The goal is to uncover new targets for future prevention or treatment.
