Could a simple blood test at home catch lung cancer sooner?

NCT ID NCT05384769

Summary

This study is testing whether a convenient at-home blood test can help more high-risk smokers get screened for lung cancer. Currently, many people avoid the standard CT scan. Researchers want to see if a positive result from this easier test makes people more willing to get the follow-up scan, which could lead to earlier cancer detection. The study is enrolling 108 current or former heavy smokers.
