Summary

This study tests two types of air cleaning devices—energy recovery ventilators and portable air cleaners—in 80 low-income homes in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Participants are children (ages 5-17) and adults with asthma who own their home. The goal is to see if improving indoor air quality and reducing mold can lead to better asthma control, lung function, and quality of life over one year.
