First seen Apr 14, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests whether a smartphone app (Asthma Ctrl) can help teens aged 12-18 with moderate to severe asthma take their daily inhaled steroids more consistently. About 389 participants will be assigned to one of three app versions to see which improves medication use, lung function, and reduces hospital visits. The goal is to better control asthma symptoms and prevent flare-ups.
