Smart inhaler strategy aims to help asthma patients who skip doses
NCT ID NCT05111262
Summary
This study is testing a different approach for asthma patients who have trouble remembering to take their daily preventive inhaler. Instead of requiring daily use, patients use a combination inhaler only when they have symptoms. Researchers want to see if this 'as-needed' strategy works better for people who typically miss doses, and if it improves asthma control and reduces flare-ups.
