Summary
This study examines 150 preschool children (ages 1 to under 5) hospitalized for a severe asthma attack. Researchers measure immune and inflammatory markers in blood and sputum to see if different wheezing patterns have different underlying causes. Children are followed until age 7 to track how their asthma evolves.
