Scientists hunt for clues in blood of asthma patients who Don't get better

NCT ID NCT05495932

Summary

This study aimed to understand why some patients with severe asthma do not respond well to the drug mepolizumab. Researchers measured the drug levels in the blood of 50 patients who were already being treated, comparing those who improved with those who did not. The goal was to see if differences in how the body processes the drug explain why it works for some people but not others.
