Scientists map patient breathing to build smarter inhalers

NCT ID NCT05445349

Summary

This study aimed to improve inhaled medicine for asthma and COPD by understanding how patients breathe. Researchers measured the breathing patterns of 163 patients to feed into computer simulations. The goal is to see how different breathing affects where medicine lands in the lungs, which could help personalize future inhaler treatments.
