Can better doctor training tame asthma? major study tests new approach

NCT ID NCT05440097

Summary

This study tested whether a training program for lung doctors and nurses could improve how asthma is managed in real-world clinics. About 1,500 asthma patients across China were followed for a year to see if their doctors, after receiving updated guideline training, prescribed better treatments and if patients' symptoms improved. The goal was to close the gap between recommended best practices and what happens in everyday medical care.
