First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tested whether a new propellant (HFO) used in asthma inhalers causes sudden airway narrowing (bronchospasm) compared to the standard propellant (HFA). 52 adults with well-controlled or partially controlled asthma took part. Researchers measured lung function right after using each inhaler to check for any breathing problems.
