Asthma's hidden impact on the brain revealed in new study

NCT ID NCT04307667

First seen Jun 01, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looks at how airway inflammation from asthma might change brain activity and relate to feelings of depression or anxiety. Over six visits, 50 adults with mild asthma will answer questionnaires, do computer tasks, take breathing and allergy tests, give blood samples, and have brain scans. The goal is to understand the link between asthma and brain health, not to test a new treatment.
