First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study is tracking over 5,000 adults who use a wearable defibrillator vest to treat sudden cardiac arrest. The vest automatically delivers a shock to restore a normal heart rhythm when a dangerous rhythm is detected. Researchers are checking how often the first shock works and how often the device gives a shock when it is not needed.
