Researchers probe the hidden nerve damage from cancer drugs

NCT ID NCT07367711

Not yet recruiting Knowledge-focused Sponsor: KU Leuven Source: ClinicalTrials.gov ↗

Summary

This study aims to better understand how chemotherapy affects a person's sense of where their arms and hands are in space, a problem known as chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN). Researchers will compare three groups: breast cancer patients who had surgery only, those who had surgery plus chemotherapy, and healthy volunteers. By using robotic and video-based tests, they hope to measure the specific nerve damage caused by treatment to improve future assessments and care.
