Common painkiller tested as cancer shield

NCT ID NCT02394769

Summary

This study is testing whether taking a daily aspirin pill can help prevent colorectal cancer in people who are at higher risk because they've had precancerous polyps removed. Researchers are comparing a low-dose aspirin, a regular-dose aspirin, and a placebo (sugar pill) in 180 adults. They will measure changes in various body fluids and tissues over time to see if aspirin has a protective effect.
