First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study is testing whether giving radiation therapy for breast cancer in just 3 sessions over 2 days is safe and effective. It involves 170 women aged 45-79 who have had a lumpectomy for early-stage breast cancer. The goal is to see if this shorter treatment causes fewer side effects and maintains good cosmetic results compared to longer radiation courses.
